Much of the cause was me.
ToCo’s re-entry program was an eye-opener for me.
I realized that the reason she stopped going to school was indeed a bad experience at school, but that the reason for her continued absence was the reversal of her day and night schedule and the over-indulgent home environment.
My daughter wanted to go to school, but she didn’t know how to motivate herself to do so or how to change her current lifestyle, and the main reason was that I myself had been keeping her away from conversations.
Fortunately, the program carefully taught me how to change my environment and how to treat my children, so I had no trouble putting it into practice. I only needed to change my life and the courage to change myself.
The truancy that lasted two months was resolved within a week. Today, my daughter heads off to school with a smile on her face.

I should have asked sooner.
My child stopped going to school 6 months ago. I found this service but put it off until after we went to a counselor first.
The counselor was awful. Instead of being there for my child, she blamed him for not staying away from school. I regretted it when I later asked my child about it.
In the end, when I applied to ToCo in December and proceeded with the re-entry program, my child and myself changed. We had more conversations and I was able to pass the year as if the atmosphere had never existed before.
Since January, I told him not to push himself, but he went to school and came back all right. I am truly grateful.
One-stop truancy solution
When you sign up, the process begins with a diagnosis of your child. There is no need to go anywhere, as all you have to do is fill out a questionnaire. I was worried that it might be stressful for my child, so I looked at it beforehand and was relieved to find that it was not anxiety-provoking or trauma-provoking.
After the questionnaire, you will receive a detailed chart analyzing the reasons for non-attendance and a program for countermeasures. The program is designed to help children to attend school if they follow the steps. I am the type of person who does not like to be told a lot of things in person, so this kind of support that allows me to proceed at my own pace was good (I did use a little email support).
It was effective, partly because my child’s truancy was cured. I was able to grow as well because I wasn’t being told what to do by someone else.
